Wengen is a car-free village above Lauterbrunnen, reached by the Wengernalpbahn rack railway (about 14 minutes uphill) with the Männlichen cable car starting in the village. It shares the Jungfrau Ski Region pass (211 km of pistes across three areas) and hosts the Lauberhorn World Cup downhill. Young beginners learn in the ski school's Snowgarden practice area in the village. Piste figures are for the whole Jungfrau region, and the top altitude given is the Männlichen summit (2,343 m).
